A few days back, my daughter found a weevil in the bathroom. Poor thing was quite confused. I think it may have got blown off course while flying past. We took him outside to warm up in the sunshine and he very much enjoyed running around on her hand before we put him onto a plant and said goodbye. Of course it was a perfect opportunity for me to get some photos! I think it’s a Vine Weevil (Otiorhynchus sulcatus). I love its cute little face, reminds me of a Manatee! You also get to see the details in my daughters skin! 🙂
Inspired by the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #146: Focusing on the details.
I’m sure it was grateful you found it a nice home

Well Suzy, me, I’d be anxious to set him on his way rather than keep him in hand! Good for you for taking the opportunity to capture some photos!

Love this little one – love weevils. In Swedish they are named vivel, so very close. I wonder if it’s from these we got the word wee meaning tiny or little? Gorgeous photos as ususal.

Great photos and perfect for the theme! Sometimes we don’t look closely enough at the little things.

Amazing. I’m in love with all the little bumps on its carapace and antennae
