Best of 2019

Happy New Year! I thought I’d have a look back at my most popular posts from 2019, even though I’ve not posted as much as I used to. I’ve used the WordPress stats page to see which posts had the most views, and here’s the top 10.

Number 10: The Shires (and other animals) of Dyfed Shire Horse Farm

In this post from October, I introduced you to the various animals at Dyfed Shires, a place my daughter and I enjoy visiting regularly.

Number 9: Portraits of Flowers

In this post, back in February I was taking close ups of flowers from a bunch I bought myself, and feeling glad that this is something we can do whatever the weather! It was dedicated to my Mum who was recovering after a fall.

Number 8: Elemental Nature

In May I was finding ways to fit the theme of the five elements. I ended up on quite a journey around my village and nearby areas finding images for metal, wood, water, fire and earth.

Number 7: Delicate Poppies

Another post from May when I was capturing the delicate beauty of the Welsh Poppies that reappear in my garden year after year.

Number 6: Nature’s Strength

In this post from February I was celebrating spring and the strength of nature with some photos of crocuses.

Number 5: Wildlife Welcome

May was a popular month! Here’s another May post, where I was talking about how happy I am to find insects and other creatures making their homes in my wild garden.

In a break from my usual photography, this post was about compassion for others regardless of whether or not we fully understand what they are going through.

In this post early last year I was thinking about the topic of curves, which led me to this curvy little fungus that took me a while to identify.

Number 2: Goodbye Little Archie

This was a very sad post about little Archie the 6 month old foal at Dyfed Shires who died in November. He was such a sweet little thing and I’m glad so many of you saw this post.

I’m aiming to post a bit more regularly this year, but it might not all be photos. I’ve brought things back together again as, after all, I am one person! So you might get posts about nature, crochet, or just my general ponderings.
